SLR spotted

First time i saw a SLR when carrying a camera with me:

Yes, near the factory/headquarters (which is actually between Woking and Ottershaw). I used to see the McLaren F1 demonstrator out and about too, somebody apparently put that one into a ditch! Think the registration was "F1 MCL"

I've seen a couple of different SLRs on the local roads, one silver and one black.

PS Mercedes are building some sort of centre at the old Brooklands race track site, which is only a couple of miles away (Byfleet). I understand this will have a test track for prospective customers to try cars out on!

Hey we even had 1 in the Grimsby showroom a few months ago!!! Like as if anyone round here's going to afford 1...

Have to say, and was going to before, when you see then in a real-world situation it really does make you realise what an absolutely astoundingly amazing car it is.

But far be it from me to state the obvious...

I see them almost on a daily basis, they are a bit common around here Still the sound is something else! If you dont see the car, you certainly hear it!

Going next week for the Tour of Mull and yes I live the other side of the common from the Mclaren factory and drive past regularly - the tip is across the road......
