Is secured with cable ties (clamps round fuel pipe, so no pipes are cut invalidating any warranties ;) ), so you can cut the ties and put it on your next vehicle.
If you want detailed info on where to fit it on your car, send me a PM and I'll give you my number.
The phone number on the website is my fathers.

Laugh? There was a Brabus one of those :D at my local M-B s'ship this week when I had to go there to order a replacement window switch. I nearly bought it for my 3-year-old step-granddaughter to add to her collection

Love it, or hate it, there has been a tremendous amount of work put into the vehicle and the quality of workmanship from just the few pictures looks excellent. Whoever done it certainly has a talent I would love to emulate.

Regards,
John

I have the very same remap in my smart, would not have gone for the dump valve (few smart issues) but the cosmetics have been very well done without a doubt.
Nice bit of kit!!
I also must say for £8500, it looks a real bargain!

You're right, Uncle John, you're right - I don't presume to criticise the workmanship - it's been someone's pride & joy, we all have the same foible - now I do like the new four-seater sporty Smart cars (don't know the model or name, someone will) and I hope with that range the brand will start to make some money so it doesn't become the 'new' Mini (not the BMW one) which never turned a penny profit in 30 years' production as everyone knows. Problem with the original Smart (for me at least)? It's just not ... sexy

The problem with the ForFour is that its really a mitsubishi colt, with a different badge, which may make it a good family hatchback and more reliable than the city car and roadster, but ultimately, boring, and certainly not 'smart'

But if enough people buy it, the original Smart may live on ... to keep its admirers happy? I heard production was about to be discontinued ?

Production of the roadster is being stopped by the end of this year (rumour has it the production line has shut down already) - the next incarnation of the ForTwo is still in development - due 2006/2007.

Just to let you all know I have had this fitted to my car for the past month. My tank range has improved from around 190 miles for town driving to 250 miles. Not donw a motorway run yet but I am sure I could push 300 miles out of a tank :D

Make of that what you will, don't know how this thing works but it does. Nice one Graeme!

No disrespect intended grav, I'm sure the fuel line magnet market is booming... personally I'll believe the hype when manufacturers start fitting them as standard  Each to their own.

Didn't R2D2 try one of these a while back? :D

I'm a natural sceptic but I had one of these fitted by Graeme at Clumber this year.
I did notice I was filling up less frequently but hadn't given it a serious test. This weekend it got one. I went to Surrey to visit family, a trip I do about 6 or 7 times a year and always just manage to get there and back on a full tank. My maximum mileage previously from full to fuel warning light coming on was 434 miles.

This weekend I did the trip and some extra running around down there, then 2 days running round up here. I had to put petrol in today as I was making another motorway journey but my fuel warning light was NOT on and my mileage was 492. I'm sure I could have got 500 miles if I had been able to stay local.

I'll admit to still being sceptical as I dont understand how it can work but it seems to. Maybe I'll remove it for the next trip just to check.

Wow!

So, it IS true! -

The magnet affects the fuel guage and has no impact on the fuel at all!!!!!!

:D
