Smell from ventilation/air conditioning

Haven't used the air conditioning much over the winter, but now I have been using it and there is a residual musty unpleasant smell lingering - I have tried running it for a good period and blasting the air through the system, but the issue remains. All filters were changed ( I believe) during my last B service.
Any ideas anyone please?

You will need to some anti-bacterial spray sprayed on the evaporator.

Also make sure the A/C drain tube isn't blocked. It allows the water which condenses on the evaporator to drain away.

You should ideally use air conditioning all year round.

Many people think it is purely for hot weather, but it in Winter, it dries the air making it feel more comfortable - but warms it instead of cooling it (subject to what the temperature is set at of course).

Someone recommended a good cleaner from ECP on here recently but I can't find it.

Also the gas has a lubricant in it so must be used all year round, otherwise the seals on the aircon system dries out and reduces the life of the sysyem.

It does seem to be lack of use in the winter that lets the mould grow...as well as causing leaks and ruining a perfectly good system.

Yes - I forgot to mention this. You start getting refrigerant leaking.

Yes - mine was stinky and having dumped an aircon bomb in it, as well as using it since, it still doesn't smell two years on.
