So Cheap...!!!

Looks like he missed a "1" off the front of the price perhaps?

mileage...

.....and a zero 0 off the mileage..... 4,600... more like 46,000 i would have thought considering its 4 years old

I dont believe this ANOTHER MERCEDES SCAM. I dont know if any of you have noticed but this has to be the month with the most Mercedes scams ever seen. Ebay should do something about this perhaps hire someone to spot these suspicious scams and check if they are real or not.

Never heard of a Walsall in Wilts and i think the zero feedback on the seller are a dead giveaway.

The moral of the story is basicillay dont bid or buy a car from a new seller with 0 feedback simple as

Since when did a CLK 240 have an engine size of 2400cc:eek:

Tis a bit like any AMG 55 with a 5.5 litre:bannana:

his advert is listed as classifled so the buyer has to contacts the seller direct :( perfect way for scammers to work just becareful and only deal when you have the car check out and no payment by electronic

I hate spelling mistakes in adverts like this, and they're not tricky words!
And, when repeating things "heated seats" in this case.

It reads as if they were in a rush to list the item, major turn off for me....

Usual 0 feedback too..... beware!

I've just put my old car up, also on a classified ad. I have no feedback, because I've never sold anything on ebay before. You have to start somewhere, surely?

I agree, but I would be tempted to start with something a tad smaller than a car. Also - not to tar everyone with the same brush - there are plenty of genuine sellers out there.

As long as eveything looks right and checks out right then all's fine, but these guys are just plain stupid to advertise in the way they are..

You know the real sad part however - Some people out there are really so gullable they think they are getting a bargain.

Good luck with your sale.

Thanks, but the key point here is that it's a classified ad, not an auction. I'm using ebay classified simply because it's cheaper than Autotrader, and reaches a lot more people. If you advertise anywhere else other than ebay, there's no such thing as feedback. I can see the point if it's an auction, but if it's a classified ad, no bidding, then surely if you're interested, you view the car, and check it's provenance etc, just as you do if it's in the local paper?

I know people have to start somewhere BUT my opinion is that the whole advert is not reading very well. Maybe it is prefectly genuine, I am just stating my view, and unfortunately, alot of scammers, tend to have 0 feedback.

It's more the advert itself that puts me off a seller, not their 0 feedback!

My first feedback was a set of wheels, I worried the seller would think I was a time waster but all went smoothly.

PS, if anyone was to think about buying a car off ebay, surely you would actually view it first anyway so you would soon realise if they were genuine by their responses to you asking to see it and/or them in person....:)

I totally agree this ad looks well dodgy. I was merely taking issue with gurpz's notion that one shouldn't buy from someone with no feedback, because it is not possible to leave feedback for classified ads on ebay, no matter how many items you've sold this way. Feedback only applies to auction listings. Anyway, looks like I've got a buyer already.
