I need to dismantle the rear brake hubs on my C200 w203.
the correct socket size for the retaining nut is 30ml. A standard
socket does not fit correctly over the MB nut. Is there a special
MB socket for this?

Thanks for any help!

Why are you removing the drive shafts ?

Suggest you get some advice or entrust this job to a mechanic.

No need to undo drive shaft nut. Disc comes off after Caliper / Carrier released.

And of course after the small disc retaining screw is removed, and the handbrake slackened off ;)

err......I'm not, just the brake disc with its drum.
Id leave them alone if you think removing that nut frees off the brake discs.

Thanks for the help. There is no need to remove the hub nut to free the disk.
I wonder why I thought so!

Because you had a moment.
Sometimes fools rush in I used to do it quite a lot , nowadays I dont , nowadays I set nuts and bolts nice and tidy in a marked container ,,,,,,then I forget where I put the container.
