Was the sportline option ever matched to the 103 engined 3 litre w124 cars, or was it with the 24v engine only?

As far as I`m aware it was available on all 124s,even the diesel ones

As above ^

Not badged as Sportline - 300CE-24

Rock hard.

Sports Chassis was available on all cars as far as I know. Sportline was available on Estates, Saloons and Cabriolets but the Sports seats weren't available on the Coupe

I've seen Sportline-badged Coupes but don't know if they were available from the factory

Sports seats were available as an option outside of the Sportline package

Mine's an original 300CE-24 Sportline. I bought it with an MB 1 year warranty in 1997.

It's been quite a good car: never let me down, absolutely corrosion-free and 100% original aside from Bilstein B12 spring/damper kit that seems t work well.

So, yes, they were factory-supplied.

In 1991 a full Sportline package was not available for the coupe. This was mainly due to the difference in the coupe seat's requirements to fold forward.
As such, sportline badging was never available in the UK from the factory, however, in other markets such as the USA the sportline badging was available. That is not to say that you won't see Sportline badging in the UK , as all the badges were available from the dealers.

What is the difference between a USA Sportline and a UK market coupe with sports chassis package and sports stearing wheel (ie fully optioned)? Nothing apart from the missing badges as far as I am aware. So as far as the coupe goes, sports chassis = sportline.
