spring perch rusty.

Hi all
I checked the spring perch today and this is what it looks like on my w210 e55.
Sorry the pics are upside down.Does anyone who can do a good job in replacing them in Yorkshire and what kind of cost am i looking at,the cup is £20 from the dealers.

That rust isn't necessarily a problem.

Where the cup attaches to the chassis is where you need to check, by scraping off the underseal. If you discover rust there, then replace them.

Any competent garage should be able to fit them for you.

I had this problem too on my previous w210 e36 amg ,, it's a common problem,, but dealer said should only change spring perches when they begin to stretch which causes car to sink giving lowered look and tyre rubbing on arches,, cheap buy but needs to be welded

The replacements are designed to be pop riveted.
