at the moment my car wallows around corners, the front shocks have had it and I need to replace, I would also like to lower the car slightly so I have a couple of options and advice on what would be best for short term.

I have a set of used sportline springs I know these dont lower much which is ideal, but do I replace my shocks with standard ones or for instance a whole new lowering set like COUPRE is selling.

what effects am I likley to notice with these options

Hello mate,

I take it that you have not put the springs on yet? Just by using a firmer 'sport' spring you will improve the handling, but you really should compliment the springs with decent uprated shocks - I say this but I didn't - I just used springs, but I will fit new uprated Koni shocks in about a Months time. Unfortunately for now more pressing (according to the wife) things like having a new bathrrom fitted are taking precedent!

Standard shocks won't last long with a lowered spring, especially if you start loading it with passengers.

I have noticed a massive improvement in cornering and braking with the stiffer and lower springs, I expect the ride to be more 'controlled' and slightly stiffer with the shocks installed.
