Hello, Im new to this forum and i am hoping someone can help me.
I have a mercedes sprinter 2018 mk3 front wheel drive and have a problem with the electronic parking brake constantly applying every time the van stops, a nightmare to drive around town, the issue started when it had a new clutch and and recon gearbox fitted , issue wasnt there before this. the strange thing is, if i drive on the motorway for say 40miles and then come off the motor way and into town its fine 90% of the time but as soon as i switch off the engine and restart its starts to apply itself again every time i stop, 60% of the time i get a ding warning sound and also handbrake not applied risk of rolling comes up on dash, other times nothing , i go to pull out on a junction and suddenly it slams on its frightening and dangerous , it has been to mercedes commercials for this , and they told me it was a door sensor , causing this issue 500 pounds it cost me , payed got in van issue still there ,so i went back in and told them the issue is still there left it there overnight ,then got a phone call in the morning telling me it was the rear parking camera causing this issue due to a corroded plug , and wanted a 1000 pound to fix the issue which im not paying that as i think there are ripping me off . so had a new plug fitted to the camera by myself but issue still there , any help would be very much appreciated thanks
