Hi all,
My C240 (W202 (petrol)) seems to have developed a problem on startup. Normally I would put the key in and click over twice. All the lights come on as normal, turn the key again and it would start and I'm on my way.
Now the car doesnt want start first time. I'd turn the key as normal, but instead of firing up it coughs once. I'll continue to hold the key position for another second or two then it will either start or cough once more then start.
Can be quite imbarrasing at petrol stations etc... Not very Mercedes like
Nothing has been changed mechanically/electronically. The car has full MB service history. There doesnt seem to be any patern either. Cold starts or after running for any period of minutes.
Any ideas..?
