My 300CE-24 has a cold start problem - cold running is perfect and hot starting / running is good but it's just that first start of the morning that catches it out. It always starts cold but now takes 2-3 seconds churning.
My thoughts turn towards the cold start injector... any ideas?

I am selling the car as have found an excellent mid-green metallic 1993 500E with 30000 miles on the clock!

Dont tell Motard :D

I guess they are a little thin on the ground these days in such original condition. My only dissapointment it the fairly sparse optioning - I think the UK cars have a particularly full spec, this one is missing seat heaters, climate-control and a few other bits and pieces... Never mind - less to go wrong!

With regard to your original problem, have you cleaned the plugs and re gapped them?

Hi Ian,

Checked all that and they were new 1000km ago anyway when I serviced it. I think I will check out the injector this weekend and see if it is clear / receiving a signal.
The actual running of the engine in all conditions is great, just that initial cold start of the day....
