Sticking Electric Headrests

Finally picking up the C55 tomorrow (yay!) and have one minor technical question already! The electric front headrests stick, though they will move with a little firm "help" from your hand.

I imagine it's probably not something that's moved very often in its life and is possibly just a bit in need of some lubrication. I have a sillicon lubrication spray (works a dream on sticky retracting aerials!) and my first inclination is to try that.

Any danger it will eat/disagree with any of the materials/seals inside the mechanism!? :crazy:
 
Planning to attack these with the silicon spray at the weekend, so hopefully not a bad mix of materials! Will try on one first perhaps ;)

Also have sticky folding mirrors, though a good dollop of grease once folded in might be the answer there since it's internal gubbins on the hinge!
