Stiff footbrake

Hi

More problems and nearly out of warranty - Had my second 'A' service via MB a few months back but foot brake gets very stiff and sort of juddgers rather than a smooth action to apply.

I've driven new cars but thet run and sound smooth and never judder to apply - almost jams.

The intial 'A' service was carried out by MB, aka mercedredsdirect or something like that.

Any help - by the way, new front pads were fitted about 6500 miles ago by MB

Either it has to be the cable worn out or the actual parking brake mechanism is siezed.
have the dealer take a look.

Still under warranty - do you think it will be covered for both probs you've mentioned - the car had another 'A' service about three months ago

Update:

took the car in yesterday for a pre-appointment for a window rattle - told them about the footbrake - they change a 'rachet bracket' i think is what they said - and the footbrake was not even this smooth when i got the car a few months old with a few k on the car

Same problem, car out of warranty and foot brake juddfer/stiff and brake creaky

Used PTFE as advised members on another thread, both brakes like new.
