Really sorry to hear about your freinds loss ,

Really dont understand what you mean by the comment
"culprits parents not married " .
My parents were not married infact i didnt see my father until i was 15 yet I never stole a car or broke in to someones house .

Its a little harsh to assume the only reason this person stole your colleagues Car was because his parents were no longer together .

Im sorry if I got it wrong and I hope the car is recoverd quickly .

Andy

I think alfie was trying to say that the culprit is a bar steward. ;)

oh i see now , sorry take back previous comments :o

I see where you are coming from. I never saw my mother ever and only found my dad when I was 37! My comment was intended as has been interpreted by others;)

What makes me really sick about this particular theft is that it was a lone female who was robbed and she is now naturally very upset.

Baseball bat and family will come in to play should the 'person of questionable parentage' ever be found;)

Generally when dealing with the family jewels, I find a 2lb adjustment tool, aka lump hammer, to be a much more precise and accurate item.

However, for the initial meet and greet, it's hard to deny the superior advantages of a baseball bat. :D

It is very unfotunately that your friend has had to suffer this, but it seems to be a by-product of today's increased security. It is now easier to break into the house and steal the keys than to take the car without them.

This type of theft is quite common in this area, especially on the "executive" estates. They use fishing rods to get keys from hall tables etc!

Being on her own she must be scared out of her wits - it goes much deeper than just the theft of a car, which is bad enough.

I hope the g!t is found!

Ouch! I live just a few miles from there:( I always hide my keys, Wifey always leaves hers on the table in the hall! I keep telling her to hide them or to take them out with her when we go out together (she has my spare key and I have hers), so sometimes my key is just left lying around! Couple this with the fact that my son often forgets to lock the back door...........

So it is only a question of time before you get done.

Does " She who must be Obeyed" understand that mate???????

Sky cops on BBC1 now is about the theft of keys to obtain luxury cars.

What a disappointment that Sky Cops programme was on BBC 1 last night. In the TV guide it was advertised as “..keys being stolen to LUXURY cars…”.

Only cars they showed were a Subaru, old banger Escort, some boy racer “Barry” style car and a Ford KA which was not even stolen being pursued and a silly football match Sheffield V Liverpool. I was expecting the entire programme be based on PRESTIGIOUS luxury cars and did not even see one half decent car.

CX03YDJ has been found!

Some unlucky/naive chap in Yorkshire bought it from autotrader without doing any checks on it and spent a small fortune on it. He then found out it was stolen and has now lost the car.

I bet he is gutted!

silly not doing the checks -- but you do have to feel for him..

Many years ago my Escort RS Turbo was stolen in Swiss Cottage while I was at work. The thief sold it to a car dealer without the log book for half what it was worth, after about a week I got a call from the police after the dealer got stopped and arrested.Cue a 2 year saga to get my car back which ended in me going to court, getting the car back, compensation which I never got and death threats made to me.The car was never the same when I got it back,I suspect he nobbled it somehow.

How awful. But great to get an update

I assume the car now belongs to the insurance company?
