Strange issue,

Hello.
I have posted some tome ago in Engine section but i think this is electronics related.
I have an issue with my vito w639 2004.
It doesn't crank engine when I turn key to position where it should crank.
When I put key in ignition barrel, steering lock works, all lights on dash light up as it should but then nothing.
I've ran direct cable from battery + to solenoid where ignition cable goes.
When I touch battery terminal and starter cranks when I turn key in the same time engine starts.
Any ideas please??
Brand new starter fitted yesterday.

Didn't someone else have a problem like this recently? - In their case it was a software issue with the gearbox.

It is manual.

Which one is it?
There is few of them yellow and grey in fuse box.
