This and that.
If I spray normal car lacquer onto a matt-painted panel, what kind of finish will I get?

I want a matt finish, but the paint needs some protection.

A shiny one.

When I had my bodyshop, clear over base systems were lacquer over a matt base coat.
You can get hold of a matt lacquer though. I used to use a matting agent in my lacquer when I was doing the verdigris effect on plant pots for customers.

Only one thanks this time, Grav. No idea why...

Matting agent, you say? Hmmmm

What's that?

But I can buy mat lacquer? In an aerosol?

I used to put laquer on matt black on motorbikes, firstly because matt didnt run like gloss and b) I liked the shiny but understated finish.
