When my car went in for its first service I got an invite to join the 'My Club'. I don't usually sign up for this kind of stuff but I have this time.

I received a reminder to use one of the free car washes before Christmas. I tried to log into the site but it won't recognise my details, even though I've got the registration email with the login details in.

I've tried to use my iPad, laptop and home comp to login but nothing, all say can't recognise details. Has anyone else tried to login to this service and had problems?

Been a member for over three years now, just tried to login - no problem.

They have changed the main page recently, are you looking at this?: The Club - Sytner Mercedes-Benz

If not, try this one - this is the new page.

Hi GLK.
Yeah I did the forgotten password link and put in my registered email address. I received no email from them even though I have the original confirmation of email/password from My Club stating my details.

It's a strange one!

In my limited experience, that's Sytner for you. Two years back, went for an M6 they had - agreed trade in for the (then) SL55, gave card details for the deposit - all done.

Then the call -
Sytner - "We have a problem - made a mistake with the numbers"
Me - "You mean you have a problem"
Sytner - "We can't do the sale at that price".

Bottom line - they simply welched on the deal.

Other priorities my side at the time meant I told them where they could stick it.

I wouldn't buy a bicycle from Sytner

It is ... Short of registering again, I'm not sure what to suggest. Was you initial registration online or by filling a card? Someone might have typed in your email incorrectly, if it was the latter? :dk:

I was invited to join the "Sytner Club" (as they called it) after starting using them as my servicing dealer. I was told I just had to speak to reception to "register" then I'd get x, y, z privileges including three free car washes a year. I did exactly this and thought no more of it, assuming I was now a member.

However, I never got any emails, nor did I have to sign up online or anything - it was just something they flagged on their system & they'd email if needed.

I'm guessing I'm not actually a member at all and they dropped the ball - can't even recall what benefits they offered other than the car washes.

Well, you get four car washes a year; four 22-point Health Checks; free oil and screenwash top-ups (up to 1 Litre); free puncture repair; free light adjustment for European travel; free tyre pressure check and top-up.

There's also Sytnerdrive, a free courtesy car in case of an accident, but I never looked into T&C for that, so don't know any details.

I've used all of the above, apart from puncture repair and Sytnerdrive, and can't complain.

One of the first car washes, I saw they've used an automated brush thingy, so asked them not to in the future, and they haven't since.

They've also changed light bulbs for me on a couple of occasions, no questions asked. All in all - very pleased with the whole experience.

I usually login to The Club, to redeem a quarterly voucher for a car wash or a health check, so having registered online is very handy.

They also always wash the car after a health check, so I usually space these evenly within each three-month period. :thumb:

Thanks GLK, I will speak to them again about this. I've never had any invite to anything, though I have been offered the car washes but refused previously - I'm sooo much better at it than they are lol.

May I ask which particular Sytner dealer you use please?

Scoob.

In my single transaction with Synter, it took a written complaint to them to ensure that they merely adhered (delivery time for a used car, and delivery condition) to the contract between us.

I have the club membership but will not be using it.

LOL, yeah I wouldn't let them do anything high-end, but for W168 it's fine
Plus I [almost] always give it a once-over with Meguiar's Detailer and Wax afterwords ...

It's the Northampton one. I have to say though, I never bought a car from them, so my experience is only with servicing and parts dpt side, and they have been great.

My C-Class has been professionally detailed - full glass coat on paintwork, glass treatment etc. as well as full interior. Car is MUCH easier to clean as a result, but I don't want anyone else touching it. It's actually going back soon for a new Crystal Serum treatment, which is the successor to the glass coat product I have currently and a superior product. I actually had my roof treated with it for free as a sample a little while ago, the stuff is epic!

I will try and register now. I did it online and originally had a confirmation email that showed my email and password.

I will go up to Bristol Sytner and book it in for a wash. I always do it myself but there are a few busy weekends ahead and I won't have time.
