Sytner

As already said - Sytner own a number of different brand dealerships.

The BMW dealer I once used, who were excellent on the whole, we merged with tossers from another dealer, and they merged into one site.

Luckily, I was still able to deal with my contacts from the dealer before they merged, in the new dealer.

Thanks for the reply, looking at sytners approved(select)vehicle benefits they are simular to mb's approved used & there cars are sourced from selected mb's that have been part exchanged at mb dealerships accross the uk.

I nearly bought a CLS from them back in october. What I can tell you is the car was exactly as the salesman described it and had it been the correct spec for me I would have done a deal with them. That ML looks like a nice one. :)

Are you replacing your CLS???

PS_ i quite like the look of this as a toy to replace my Saab.. :D

Sytner Select MERCEDES-BENZ SL SERIES SL 500 £13,950

cheers Barry,as i said earlier in the thread the salesman at sytner bristol 4x4 seemed a nice guy & answered everything i asked/was helpful.

How do you know that?

Thats what i was told when i asked the salesman where the vehicle was sourced(no reason not to believe him & on sytners website it says sytner select vehicles are sourced from main dealers).

Great minds there Steve! :D

Sytner Select offers you the chance to purchase the very finest of the Sytner Groups part-exchange vehicles.

Don't forget to doff your cap and be thankful for being allowed the chance to buy one of these finest vehicles.

It would be interesting to trace the history of some of them as by those statements they can't be owned by leasing companies or sourced via auction.

All those cars being private purchases from new?

Could be DM. When I was talking to the Oxford sales guy about the CLS that car was a one owner private vehicle, with FMBSH. I certainly got the impression that all the "Select" cars were the same.

As long as the car has been serviced on time & by maximum mileage & is as described when i view it i'm not bothered whether it was registered to a leasing company/private owner or mb.

^Thats what the salesman told me "select" sytner vehicles were too Barry.

Wish we had a "Sytner Select" in Russia!!! You just would not believe the used car market here. Here's an example (use Googlebot to translate)... it beggars belief!

Ïðîäàæà Mercedes-Benz ML-Class 2007 Óôà

So you know, 1.4 million rubles is about £30K!!

I'm looking at getting an X-Trail to replace my trusty Nissan, but even 2002s are £10K!! It's absurd!

^ Maybe i should get 2 ml's & sell one of them in Russia to pay for the other one then i can keep the cls as well;)

:D

I thought about buying a 2005 ish X-Trail in UK (around £4 or £5K) and bninging it over, but the import duty is crippling! It worked out no cheaper than buying one here. :(

There are rumours that the very high rate of duty may come down in 2014, but that remains to be seen, For now, I may have to swallow the fact that I'll pay for an '02 car what would get me a 2 0r 3 year old in UK! :wallbash:
