Tailgaiters in fog

As already said, I would pull over and stop and let the ****s go past. Give them a few seconds and carry on.
Very many years ago I did exactly this and about 2 miles down the road there was an accident involving the nonk that passed me way back.
I allowed myself a wry grin after it was obvious nobody was hurt.

I think sometimes its the MB badge that inflames their desire to get past you.
Any make of prestige car certainly seems to get the Nova/Corsa boys wound up and baying for a race.
Fog or no fog.

Some plonker overtook me at a roundabout west of Sothampton approaching the M27, a bit later I passed the dented remains of his car at the side of the hard shoulder.

Did you gloat????????????????? I bet you did, didn't you?:D

Interesting survey results I saw recently: -

Other road users blamed for bad driving

A survey conducted by Brake discovers that drivers believe it is other motorists that are worse drivers
Only 1% out of the 800 drivers questioned believes that the roads are populated with motorists driving in a safe manner. The survey points towards drivers ‘overestimating’ their driving ability and blaming the actions of other motorists.

Thing is, it always interests me reading threads like this in that everyone judges by their own standards, and as proven above nearly everyone thinks they're better than the other driver

Now I'm not getting any younger, and my nightime vision is not as good as it used to be, so I now have to ride/drive slower at night, that doesn't mean that someone travelling faster than me is a maniac, it might mean they can see further ahead. I use this as just an example, as while I'm yet to meet someone (other than Superman) who can see through fog, it could well be that maybe said ****head IS in fact the next Colin McRae and has talent you can only dream of

While I'm not disagreeing with the sentiment, you have to factor in that however good or safe a driver you think you are, there is always someone better than you......

Me for example :D
