Tails I win!

Might be worth a bid! I'm sure i'll find a use for it :D

I’ve got a couple of Eddie Gibson 2 pence pieces (double heads, double tails).
Impossible to see the machining/join unless you look with a magnifier (not on the edge of the coin).
I’ve nearly spent them so many times:o .
They *could* have paid for themselves a few times over now;)

My uncle used to make these from the old 10p pieces, he was a member of the magic circle ...

You basically set up a 10p piece on a lathe and machine out the inner of the coin to a depth of about 3mm leaving the little rim round the edge ...

The next one you machine off the rim and the other side to the side you want to keep , glue them together and hey presto ....

I have one of these 10p's at home and it is almost impossible to tell...

Although technically it is an offence as you are defacing the queens image / currency ...

Oh god, and I'm associating with criminals like Howard-Lord forgive me.

You are forgiven ...... but you don't have to call me Lord .... ;)

Thank bloody Christ for that!

Not really double tail, if you look at the photo of the obverse it still has the DEI.GRA.REG.FID.DEF etc, it's just the centre that is double-sided.

To use one of these coins for gain is actually deception, and could give you a jail term :D

All part of the theft act 1968.
