RS have just put a new 3Dprinter on their website- but appears to be sold out already. This could revolutionise the fabrication of all those little plastic do-da's that hold our cars together. Mercedes won't have to stock them anymore- they can just print out as many as you need while you wait- at a price of course. There is something a bit "Terminator IV" about the fact the builder used similar machines to fabricate bits of this one he built!

I used to have 3D prototypes made back in the early 90's - it was horrifically expensive then, and the tiny prototypes were bike couriered out as a matter of course. Not going to be long before these are free with yer cornflakes...
