Mercedes E-Class E220 AMG Line 2017
Hi, just recently purchased a 67 plate E Class AMG Line. I know my way around technology pretty well but I cannot get my car internet to tether to my iPhone XS Max. I know the procedure you are supposed to follow, everything looks like it’s going to connect, even the tethering sign pops up on phone - but the car still fails to connect.
Also I don’t see any option for Mercedes Me on my infotainment system. Can anybody please shed any light on the situation. Really appreciate it.

This may or may not be related to this....:

Also, does your car have Audio20 with Garmin Map Pilot navigation on SD-Card, or COMAND Online with built-in navigation?

Delete all the settings and try again sometimes works .
Try getting the phone to find the car if the car To find the phone isn’t working
(general rather than specific advice , sorry )

Hi markjay, thanks for the reply. My car is Audio 20 with Garmin Map Pilot. Does that not come with built in Mercedes Me? Is there anyway of adding speed camera alerts to Map Pilot?

I don't know the answer to your question regarding Mercedes me for your car, because Audio20 is a generic name given by MB to their entry-level infotainment system, and in the past 20 years it covered a variety of different models, from a basic radio to a full infotainment system, adding options and functionality. www.comandonline.co.uk would know what can be enabled/added/activated/retrofitted to your car

Regarding speed cameras, the answer is 'sort off'. You can purchase a speed camera database as Private POI and import them into the satnav, though they will just show on the map (with or without audible alert) but won't be linked specifically to your route or speed.

Have you verified that you can tether other devices to your iphone? It might be a network restriction or something on the phone side.
