Hi,
Bought my car a few weeks back. I live in Cornwall and there aren't any Mercedes tuning specialists down this way so I had a look on Google, found this forum and MSL Performance. So luckily, at short notice Acid booked me in for a pulley and remap on the way home.
The standard CLS was pretty tame, 100 miles in comfort mode (I didn't know of other modes) The wheels didn't spin up with the traction control off so I knew I needed more.
So I arrive in Birmingham, wow that place is scary to drive in. Plus another customer at MSL told me I might get car jacked on the way out by gangs so by this point I had Mum saved on speed dial and two cans of Red Bull incase things kicked off, ha.
I had some lowering links from eBay, no trouble, Acid had them fitted in minutes and my car on the dyno. After a few hours and a bite to eat (on the house!!!) and a new water cooler pump I took the car out again and what a difference!
Loads more power and the wheels spun up with the traction control off, perfect. I think it put out 470whp or thereabouts. Still loads of room for improvement as it's still standard. Just need headers, full exhaust, cams and anything else that will make it reliably faster.
So, big thanks to Acid and the crew! Really friendly bunch and a great stretch of road to floor it down outside.
Look forward to doing more to the CLS over the summer!
Cheers,
Tom
