I found some really nice pictures from the new Mercedes GLK , you should check it out :).
Mercedes GLK

Post your own pictures below if you have some ;), that would be great!

I've moved this thread from the gallery section as that section is for photos of cars belonging to forum members.

Another failure like the X3.

I was reading from another forum "if this is the MB response to the X3". I guess the management may have ordered their R&D to respond to X3 and the R&D did that literally.

Honestly, considering the US market where these cars are popular in bigger size but a strong trend towards smaller cars recently, the timing from MB may be a lot better than that for the X3.

I saw quite few when i was in Miami... i think they may do well in the USA

Nice looking car. Apparently over 10.000 orders so far in Europe.

NOT coming to the UK before 2010-2011. Too costly to convert to RHD.

Am I the only one who thinks it is utterly grotesque? They showed a piture of one on Top Gear in metallic dog poo brown. Perfect colour for it.....

No. I don't like its exterior, and I think the interior looks cheap and plasticy. For this money a used ML or GL would be better, or Audi's Q5.

I'm sure they could have sold some RHD models with RWD to us. I suspect that less than 10% of the people buying in that market actually need 4WD and would benefit from better performance, less consumption and lower emissions. Plus it'd be cheaper!

The front end looks like Steptoe's toothless grin. A very non-coherent design. And for whom?

Sat here (in the US) looking over the works car park, the number of SUVs has shrunk considerably. Very much out of favour now.

Sure 4WD is mostly not needed and even less if they used more winter tyres where they get snow, but don't they have some sort of a rule in the US that favours SUVs, not sure if GLK would fit into that rule. Was it something related to the average fuel consumption a car make needs to be committed, but SUVs are not included there. Those can have a big engine, they just need to sell a few C-class models to allow most of the S600 sales?

Someone must know how it actually works there.

Swell. Yet another troop transport I'll only ever see the rear of as I waste prayer in trying to will them out of the fast lane.
Odd choice of names. Same sound I make when trying desperately to not vomit.

Someone said to me it looks a bit like a Talbot Rancho, i have to agree. Not pretty IMO

Mercedes designers obviously over stretched trying to fill too many niches too quickly
