Ive seen a nice 2011 350 E class coupe 3.5L with 107,000miles on it, its a bit bigger than my 1.6L C204 coupe that has less than 64.000miles on it, do i go for it ? if the 350 had less miles I'd probably go for it, i know they can do big miles but i also know the issues the V6 engine has !!!! what do you guys think ?

Has it had any gearbox oil changes ?
Does the petrol 350 have many issues ? There aren’t that many on the forum so they don’t get discussed that much .

Looks cute, in a grey on grey way. But does the greater risk of almost twice the mileage, justify the extra power and luxury ? What kind of mileage / use are you going to put on it?

Balancer shaft issues I believe.

after googling their are some issues and generally appear around 100.000 miles !!!! but its a good strong engine.

yeah thats what i'm thinking about the mileage !! i don't do big miles anymore 3-4000 miles a year maybe, but like the idea of the extra power  not that i need it.

Don't forget the luxury of the look.

Given that kind of mileage, where's the issue ?

Apart from whether you should wait for a lower mileage coupe, and pay a couple of grand more up front, to save paying for repairs "down the line."

yeah ive seen that one, not keen on the interior colour though, plus a bit out of my budget.

What power out put has the particular engine ?

288 BHP ;)

Personally i would rather have a well sorted higher mileage car than one that has been ragged but low miles ( Not that either of those cars could be proven to have been treated either way! ) However the price is very appealing - Nice car.

I do very few miles per year in my private vehicles so mileage would not be an issue for me and isn't.

Next question: why not an E250 on lower mileage?

If the badge offends you could remove it, or fake it…

I think i'm just talking crap really !!!! with the issues ive had with my Newley acquired C204 it put me off it a bit, but after sorting the issues out and just this minute fitted a standard exhaust i might be happy with it again ? didn't like the sports exhaust, way to loud for me and wasn't happy driving it, just been for a run in it and its like driving a different car  I can put my foot down and no one turns to frown at me  its actually a joy to drive now. plus its low mileage and a lot cheaper to run than a V6.
so will hold of for now, cheers guys 👍

no badge will offend me, if i didn't like it just pull it off. mines got 180 on it and will stay 👍

yep.
if I wasn't into my bikes then i would have a big car, but my bikes come first. as the saying goes,

"cars move the body, bikes move the sole" :D;)
Used to like the bikes years ago had a few of them
