Hello,

Recently discovered that 2 springs on my M102 engine disappeared... :(

One of them was easy to replace, it was on the auto trans control levers, near the throttle.

The other one is the number 101 on the following pic:

Any ideas on how to get to it without removing the fuel distributor...? :(

Would love to leave the distributor alone since the car is working just fine...

Thanks

Miguel R.

Hi miguel,
Before you go fitting new springs be sure to check the auto trans control levers for wear. I recently had to remove my inlet manifold and when i disconnected these springs from their locator holes i noticed that the metal had almost completely worn through due to friction between the spring and the control lever (No's 5 and 26 in the attached image). If i didn't have to remove the manifold i def would've lost the springs within a couple of weeks so I managed to get lucky on that 1. :)
