As you have a 2017 car, you probably have the Smartphone Integration Package?
If so, the detail and level of control might well be better than that of the older cars.
I really can't remember what I have in my car. I've only had it a couple of weeks so trying to get to grips with it all.
And we're away at the moment so really frustrating not being able to report back on the support you guys have given.
With regards to the Tidal service offered for free via the Mercedes Me app, I assume that is a single user account?
Any option or ability to upgrade it to the family account?
Regarding the family account, I just use the app on different devices - including a smart tv, with a single login without any problems. You can set up play

I currently have a spotify account so when we get back I'll see if I can play tracks via spotify, with the phone connected to a USB port.
If that works ok then technically I'd get the same result with Tidal.
I just have this nagging doubt that my car doesn't support streaming audio via this connection.
I connected my phone to a USB port in the centre armrest and it sees the phone as a USB storage device.
But when I play spotify on the phone I don't get anything. The car just sees the phone as a dumb storage device.
Ok just tried connecting my phone to usb port in my wife's GLE. It's a 2017 car. It has two usb ports and the symbol on port 2 is like that shown in a previous post (looks like a smartphone/tablet icon).
When connected to this port, the car didn't find any media on the phone.
When playing spotify, it didn't play through the car.
Really don't know what I'm doing differently to you guys.
