Fuel caps on Diesel cars are Red ? Didn't know that . Just as the UK goes to all plastic milk bottles having neutral colour caps we go to cars with different colour fuel caps .

Or was it always thus ? just like the new (ish) colour code for the various filler caps under the bonnet. ?
