TMC - New ML

Should I have TMC on comand in this car or not.
Dealer says probably not but I reckon it should have and if so are they fobbing me off with an old disc.

Yep, it has the same system as my Smart Forfour & I have TMC.

I have no idea as untill the DVLA sort themselves out I cant pick the damn car up.

It's unthinkable that it won't have UK TMC.

The dealer will probably supply ver4 disc this does not have TMC. Reject it straight away and ask them for 6.1. this does have TMC and when it is first inserted it will flash upgrade the Comand unit. Dont even leave the dealer until you have the disk infact tell them now so it will be there when you collect....

Latest car latest sofware thats what I say so be VERY insistent and get ver6.1.

You should definately have Version 6.1 (6.2 is due soon), accept nothing less.

If this is a new car then I totally agree with mw_C32. Nip into the dealership, ask them to show you the COMAND and let them demonstrate the TMC facility??

No excuses, no fobbing off, it should work. Don't forget though it is different from the E-class.

Many 6.2's are coming up on eBay now. There was one on it's own several months ago, so it must have been quietly released (possibly in Germany only) some time ago.

Yes you should definately have TMC as version 6.2 should be supplied from new. But this is being superseeded soon by Version 8.0 which is the latest disc, but for the moment it remains on backorder.

As posted here http://mbclub.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=29978 they supplied version 4 but are getting me the new one. Thanks for the help otherwise I would have accepted Version 4 as the current one.
