Too cheap? or Bargain stereo?

Crikey, that's cheap. Might it be out of character for the car though?

I agree with the Audio 10.

I'd expected the speakers to be more of a limiting quality to the sound quality, however we swapped ours for a Becker Mexico and the sound is transformed.

Not too expensive, and they have an OEM look and feel about them - they even to amber lighting to suit MB and Porsche.

You can change colour too - ours does red for veedubs IIRC.

mmm, I know what you mean, but the Comand unit isn't a gazillion miles away in style.

Wow that's cheap! Would be interesting to see how good it looks in the flesh. Would fill the dash well and integrated TV looks good, just don't think the quality will be up to scratch.

Wonder if you can find any examples of this unit on display anywhere near you before sheeling out any cash?

Could you also imagine it having sat-nav too? I know that some do that, that I had seen before on eBay from the far east.. I did consider that to command!

Just shows what a *huge* ripoff COMAND is.

Like this, form the same manufacturer, although doesn't appear to be available in the UK:

Gucci: Does the one you're looking at actually have the CD/DVD mechanism built-in (or is it just the head unit)? Also, it doesn't appear to have a radio tuner, unless you can use the DVD-T?

The ad suggests is has Radio/FM/MW etc with 30 preset channels. The CD/DVD wording looks a bit ambiguos 'compatible'..as in ready to hook up to a changer? Itching to have a look at the 'real thing'!!

At least this one looks more OEM, in fact it would look right in a VW / Audi looking at the style of buttons.

Looks good, but it's a bit 'shaped/tapered' for the ML dash?

Ah - didn't see the tuner bit.

It does talk about anti-shock which would make you think there's a player mechanism built in, and it has an eject button but hard to see where the disk goes. It surely must have a mech, but I guess if it doesn't have a mech then you could return it as it would hardly qualify as a "player".

There's another pic of it on the brand's website - the facia looks deepish and there seem to be sockets there:

Gucci,

Looks good I was looking at these double din type units more to fill the gap than anything, I use my TomTom on my mobile so don't need sat nav. I bet the whole things tilts and the CD or DVD slides in behind?

Output to another sceen would be good (for the smeg) ooh and you maybe able to add a reversing camera :)

If you go for it let me know would like to see it. If you have a punt you would probably get your money back on flea bay...

cheers

ooh this is what I was loking at, its touch screen as a lot are now? looks ML type buttons? similar to command?

bit more though :(
