Gentlemen,

My apologies for not contacting you sooner. Thank you very much for helping with our historic race event on the 13th of July. This will be a great film and a lot of fun on the day and we really couldn’t do it without your help.

We would like to start the race at around 9:00am so if you could be at the track for 8:30am that would be great, there will be breakfast and lunch provided.

I have couple of questions for you all: do you bring Fire extinguishers, flags kit etc, if not what do we need bring along? We have a Medical team with a full ambulance, jaws of life etc to cover any injuries.

When you arrive at the track you can ask for me or Grant Wardrop

If you have any questions or queries please don’t hesitate to contact me

Thanks again

Gavin

I can't wait for this.
I wonder which of the presenters will be doing this.
I'm secretly hoping for the Hamster and Captain Slow;)

would love to do marshelling, i live three miles from thruxton race track.

My club is based at Thruxton.
If you want to marshal cars, go in the circuit and go to the BARC (British Automobile Racing Club) office and ask for Sara Wernham. She will be able to help you with membership for the club and also with registration for your MSA (Motor Sports Association) licence.

If it is bikes you want to do, have a look at The Racesafe website.

All the information you need is on there, but you will need to complete a training day before being allowed trackside. Training days are normally held at the beginning of the year.
Racesafe are the only people who marshal the British Superbikes, World superbikes (on the UK rounds) and MotoGP (UK round).

You could also join a smaller club such as New Era or NGRR, but would still need to do the Racesafe training to do the superbikes.

No.:D
We had to keep picking huge chunks of it up, but when it got totally destroyed, we left the bits there;)

I get to be on TG at least once, as I helped upright Matt's camper, with him standing right next to me:bannana: :bannana:

Who's that dodgy looking bloke on the far right of the last photo? :p
