Touch up

Got myself some touch up (c605) as I have a nasty chip on my bonnet. It is protected with polish at the moment.
My question is, do I need to remove the polish before applying the touch up? any tips and advise welcome
There are a couple of other chips around the car that I will treat.

Definately , nail polish remover / white spirit etc .

On the smallest chips a tooth pick is as good as the we brush to dab a dot of paint in , and remember to laquar when finished.
Keep a cloth handy with thinners as when I first tried touching up I found it hard enough so I used to wipe first attempt straight off if I wasn’t happy and retry till it pleased me.
