I've got a MB fitted tow bar on my ML63 2007 W164 and tried to use it for the first time today by adding a Thule tow bar based bike rack to it. All fits very well on the ball and electrical connection but the lights on the bike rack lights are not functioning.
I've scanned the forums and there seems to be 3 possible causes.
1) The 20a fuse in slot 70 at the rear (looks ok, unbroken)
2) a relay issue in slot U on the same fuse board (looks ok, no sign of blowing)
3) Star updates to enable the circuit (does this have to be MB Main dealer?
Or could there be another reason? The parking sensors don't work either but I suspect that's just a blown sensor to be identified and replaced.
