Hi guys,

Tried to search but didn't really get the answer. I have fitted some OEM c63 18" wheels to my C63 (winter/track wheels). My car says it cannot find a sensor so puts up a low tyre pressure warning light but doesn't affect anything.

I just checked with mercedes and they said my car needs to be 'taught' about the new sensors - needs to go on the Star machine - takes about 30 mins apparently and would need to be done each time I swap my wheels.

Are there any ways of doing this through the cars software or is it only possible through mercedes (or an independent)?

if we're talking High Line TPMS (option 475 - individual tyre pressure display on the dash) then they are interchangeable between wheels (I've done it) and provided the sensors are returned to the correct corner then all is well, without the need for STAR.

I can't help with info about the other tyre pressure loss warning system - sorry.

thanks but I don't want to move the sensors but rather use both ideally (both sets of wheels have sensors).

cheers
