Tracking down service history

Hi all, I have just bought my first Mercedes, a 2012 C200 CDI Estate and am trying to track down the service history. I have set up an account online with Mercedes but when I try and view the service history it says "Something went wrong, We are experiencing some issues getting this information for you. Please come back later". What's the best way to chase this up? Do I need to go into an official dealer to get this info?

Thanks

Joe

Welcome

You won't be able to see the service history on the Mercedes me portal until you get the car serviced at a dealer. After the service the dealer will provide you with a SecCode (PIN) that will unlock the service history section.

Alternatively, you can take the V5C (or the slip, if you didn't get the new V5C yet) and a photo ID with you and walk into any MB dealership and ask for a printout of the service history.

Thanks markjay, are they likely to charge for the printout or is it a good will sort of thing?

This might also help - assuming the car didn't exceed 15000 annually, this is what the service history should look like, including the next service:

2013 - Service A

2014 - Service B (inc. cabin filter), brake fluid,

2015 - Service A, pano roof lubrication (if fitted)

2016 - Service B (inc. cabin filter), brake fluid, air filter, fuel filter

2017 - Service A, ATF and filter (if automatic)

2018 - Service B (inc. cabin filter), brake fluid, pano roof lubrication (if fitted)

2019 - Service A

2020 - Service B (inc. cabin filter), brake fluid, air filter, fuel filter

2021 - Service A, pano roof lubrication (if fitted)

2022 - Service B (inc. cabin filter), brake fluid, ATF and filter (if automatic)

2023 - Service A

2024 - Service B (inc. cabin filter), brake fluid, air filter, fuel filter, pano roof lubrication (if fitted)

No, it's free. They might try and sell you a Service Care Plan though (that's what they did to me), it's not necessarily a bad thing as such but I wouldn't buy one 'on the spot', i.e. if you think you might be interested, come back here and get some advice before signing on the dotted line.
