Hello people

I have a S205 C300d 70 plate.

Does this not come with the traction control button, ANother thing does these have LSD or open Diff..?

Thanks in Advance.

Anyone?

This is a guess based on information I found via Google, but I think it’ll be running an open diff.

The only way to be sure will be to put your VIN into an online checker and it’ll show you the standard and optional equipment your car has.

As far as I know, there is no traction control button, but ESC can be switched off via one of the menus.

The diff will be open with active braking at the rear.

In other words, when one of the rear wheels loses traction, the brake is applied to that wheel which transfers torque to the other wheel. So it kind of behaves a bit like an LSD. It probably doesn’t work when ESC is off.

Does you car have a button marked ESP? That's the one, although it doesn't fully turn off Electronic Stability Programme.

As mentioned you can deactivate ESP through the menus (on our 19 plate one, anyway) - this is recommended for deep snow, sand, or gravel. As an aside there are different ESP modes that the car selects depending on the drive program (Comfort, Sport, etc.).
