Turbo need help

I need help,i took my mercedes cls to a respected mercedes workshop because my car was running rough,ive also had a bearing type noise coming from turbo,The garage put on star machine then changed exhaust pressure sensor next to turbo,he took for test run which started off ok then he put his foot down a little more to which the car jerked then revved and took off screaming,he managed to stop the engine then towed to garage as car wont start,oil has gone through turbo seals.can anybody help diagnose,the car turns over but no start,mechanic hasnt had that happen to him in 30 years fixing mercs he said.I suspect turbo fail,any ideas and thoughts,car is 60 plate just done 100,000 on clock

That sounds like a runaway diesel, the outcome for which is frequently terminal.

Thanks for the reply,yes been told today engine has low compression,glow plugs siezed in head,injectors all 6 damaged,this is before we look inside the engine,I am looking for a om642 920 engine as a replacement,going to cost me alot of money!

Just a question mate,does the merc cls 320 engine fit in a cls 350? Both the same engine code om642 920

Physically, yes, but there will be detail differences. Couldn't tell you what there were though.
