Turbo

With the last turbo only being on for 6 months is there a possibility i can take this further?

Surely turbo's last longer than that?

If the last installation of the new turbo was the reason why the turbo packed in i feel i should be compensated....but in reality im wondering how it would stand if i did take things further?

Technically your complaint has to be with the person/garage that sold you the car. I am assuming the turbo was replaced before you bought the car? Did you not get any warranty when you bought the car?

.
This is weird.
It is very unusual here, that turbo breaks from cdi-engines.
Especially 320cdi,s turbo, gt2359vnt.

I have also that charger on my car.
I have driven now over 100 000km with 2bar boost.
No problems.
Original boost pressure is ~1,2bar…

Well the problem is i bought the car privatley, but i spoke with the garage who did the work on the car 3 days before i bought it.

There is an invoice for £3400 showing a new turbo, intercooler and exhaust system as of end last year.

The car never right when i bought it always going into limp mode when i floored it not it seems this has been the problem.

I'm waiting for the written report to come back on the turbo then i was thinking of phoning the garage up or calling trading standards?

Problem is that the vital "transaction" is between the previous owner and the garage that supplied / fitted the turbo. Unless the guy who sold you the car is prepared to pursue the case with them ( on your behalf) then the chances of getting any recompense are very slim. It's possible that the blocked oil feed pipe caused the first turbo to fail and was never checked or changed when the new one was fitted--causing the second failure. This was probably initially due to a poor maintenance schedule--- not frequent enough oil changes or the use of poor quality non synthetic oil which could even date back as far as the original owner. Another good reason for a good uninterrupted service record.
