Turn your ipod/itouch into a dyno.

mmm...say no more.

To be fair when I read my post again I can see why it might have been misinterpreted but honestly no offence was intended - I mean't the doofer thing that started the thread off... sorry if it came out wrong

3. Errm.. Why the hell would you put an accelerometer in a phone/MP3 player in the first place?

I was thinking the same thing. I know some hard drive video cameras have them to sense when you drop them so it can shut the hard disk down before it lands to reduce the risk of damage, but as the iphone is all solid state, that cannot be the reason :)

Apple is selling an application "Dynolicious" for £7.49 that turns your ipod/itouch into a device that records your 0.60/0.100/et/1/4 mile times using the built in accelerometer and g forces.

I personally bought and installed it on my itouch and it really does work.
Its so much fun cummuting to work now, lol.

Heres a linky review.

I bought this for my iphone today. costs £7.50 from the itunes app store but looks like fun.

Interestingly the labyrinth game is great fun. The settings menu gives you a nice spirit level aswell should you ever find yourself needing one!

As I asked previously [post 13], is this how the screen flips over when the unit is held landscape/portrait? Something must sense that movement?

My friend has a phone that can skip music tracks when it is flicked in the wrist, if you pardon the expression

Yes Mate, the same thing that senses movement in landsacape/portrait is also the one that makes the dynolicious software work.

I've been reading up on the iTouch (it will be delivered to me in the week) and I'm impressed already, I thought it was just a funky iPod but it seems far more than that, esp with the new software/upgrade

:)

I have a T-Mobile account, T-Mobile in Germany sell the iphone, anyone know if it is possible to buy this from there and use it here in the UK on the UK, T-Mobile network?

Mark.
