Two problems I want advice on PLEASE!

One after a while ago having my car serviced at mercedes dealer my gear box cover creaks really annoyingly (manual), plus there is 3 plastic bolts in the storage bit that were never there before, has anyone experienced this and second other day my car tempature gauge went unusually high not into the red, and now seems to be fine any thoughts on what his could be? Any ideas would be great.

Not too sure on the other things but the high temp could be a failing viscous fan unit,hard to say really without knowing more detail.Were you in slow moving traffic for any length of time or driving it hard and then coming into slow moving traffic?

Was in traffic for 15 minutes then drove it fairly hard no more than 4000 rpm though then was in traffic and it heated up then cooled sown whan i drove off

Could be air in the system. Did they change the anti freeze when you had the car serviced?

Id take the car back and ask why there are three plastic screws that were never there before. And mention that the creaking that wasnt there before obviously has a lot to do with the plastic screws not being refitted!!!!!

Don't know what they did with the service, they dont seem very good anyway, they say because they make the cars they know best well they seem pretty c**p at servicing them. Problem is they serviced it back in july and didn't get round to going back as was busy, wish i had though.

Can anyone tell me what sort of temprature there car runs at beceuse mine runs at around 80c usually but at the mo is hitting 100c

Normal running temp is between 80-85c but will increase when in slow traffic for long periods of time.
