Hi there my tyre pressure warning light comes on after about an hours driving, along with message tyre pressure monitor unavailable. Next day all clear and after a few minutes driving I can check tyre pressures which are all ok .Further driving will result in warning light and message coming on again.
Is this acontrol module problem ? if so where is it on my GLC220d 4matic built about Jan 2020.

I'd suspect it's one of your tpms sensors that's maybe at fault . Flat batteries or damaged from recent tyre changes etc , possible causes. !

Confident that all tpms ok as they keep giving accurate readings after vehicle has been driven for a few miles. Its after about an hours driving the problem starts and warning light comes on along with message monitoring system unavailable. Next day, all good again, until about an hour of running.

Sounds like a low battery in one of the sensors to me, but I'm no expert.

My ford Kuga would lose signal after about 20 minutes or about 7 miles of driving. I'm no expert like , but it's all it can be tbh. If you've got a scanner OP ,when it happens , don't move and check the tpms via the OBD2 port. But if you're confident it's none of them ,it's a trip to mb etc.

They go to sleep when it's not being driven . 👍

I have wondered if it could be the tpms control module .Has it got a loose wire ? or is it affected by heat build up .I dont know the location of it on the GLC220d .I dont fancy taking plastic trays off looking for it but may have to start sometime. The tpms batteries would not keep recovering would they?.

Time it next time out . My Kuga was the same at every instance and distance for weeks.

It is a bad connection of the wheel sensor to the chassis under the wheel arch. Disconnect and spray liberally with contact cleaner. Done

TPMS has nothing to do with the hard wired wheel speed sensor - which is for the anti lock / anti spin systems.
