Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to remove the Tyre Pressure Warning Messag. I have a CLK 280 2008.
Have checked the tyre pressures and they are ok.

Thanks

Just reset it in that case. - I can't remember exactly the sequence because I always have to search for it, but scroll to <reset tyre pressure warning> (or something like that) using the steering wheel menu, then hold down the reset button next to the gauges.

Otherwise you can just ignore it and scroll to a different display, but if you've resolved the tyre pressures best to reset the system.

If it's the type of system that relies on comparison of the speed at which each wheel rotates then resetting will occasionally be needed regardless of pressures being correct. For example, when tyres wear or are replaced they will have a different rolling circumference.

That's definitely the type on my CLK. - In fairness, there usually is one or more tyre with the wrong pressure so I don't mind topping them up and resetting it.

Hi,
Either TPMS System could be coded out Via. STAR, but I just try resetting it.
You need to reset it any time the tyre pressures have been changed, pressures topped up etc.
Turn ignition on so it is showing Outside Temp display, use the up arrow until it shows the TPMS display.
Once on this screen, hold the dash reset button till the display states re-activate tyre pressure monitor system Yes or no, select using the + or - steering wheel button.

Don't forget to reset it on the move, I don't think it works if the car is stationary.

On my current and previous clk’s it pinged a warning to check pressures and re-set after a couple of months, even though none of them had lost more than a couple of psi.
I guess it’s just to re-calibrate to take tyre wear into account seen as this type system does not have pressure sensors.

It does, but you need to drive the car for a little time for it to re-learn what the wheel speeds are supposed to be.

Many thanks for the replies, all done, easy when you know how.
