Im going to be taking my car on a runway again soon to see if my pulley and tune has made much of a difference and see if I can beat my previous top speed. The car currently has Falken 452's on the rear that are 'Y' rated and fine upto 186mph but the falkens on the front are only 'W' and rated upto 168mph.

Im no tyre expert but surely these are not going to self destruct as soon as I hit 168mph are they?? Are these speed rating tests over a constant high speed for hours on end? im going to be doing quite a few runs but will allow the car and tyres to cool down in between and hopefully only going over 168mph for a matter of seconds before im hard on the brakes.

LOL...nice way to tell us your car will exceed 168.

They wont self destruct at 169...but don't sustain this speed for long. There will be safety margin built in.

Dont know if it will yet.

Slightly worrying though, I tried to get some part worn but nobody has any.
