tyres out of round

Apparently this was causing my car to pull heavily to the left and very recently it was making the car wobble at low speed and vibrate alarmingly at high speed - the car has just been rechecked by the place that did the 4 wheel alignment recently. Apparently all is now well following new front tyres and it awaits pick up.

What causes car tyres to go out of round, presumably something to do with the sidewalls (impact, running flat)? Front Michelin had plenty of tread, and was at least 2 years old and has never been flat in my ownership..

Normally standing still for a long time, old age, look on the sidewall for the production date 4 digits first 2 week no 2nd two year, ie 4607 wk 47 2007.

New tyres and a tweak on the tracking and for the first time in my ownership it runs straight!

Can be a manufacturing defect. I had a full refund on a pair last year - they were well worn too!!
