Can anyone advise me whether, if my car is photographed entering or inside the extended ULEZ zone, is TFL required to give me a copy of the photo or photos that were taken of it, if I request them?

Thanks.

If you received a penalty notice, the images are kept and also made available to you by default.

If the ANPR system recognises your car as having had the ULEZ charge paid for it, or exempt from it, then tg3 images are deleted the day after.

It's the same with the Congestion Charge, BTW. However, if you registered for Auto Pay, some data is kept for accounting purposes.

You get a nice piccy of your car driving in the relevant zone included on the penalty letter. Ask me how I know...

Good info thanks. There is a couple of short journeys I do almost every day. After 25th October I will see if the car is picked up by checking Autopay. If it does pick it up then I was hoping to be able to find out where the camera is.

Now before you flame me (well, go on, of course you can anyway 😀) I know that the whole point of the cameras is to make people think twice about driving in the zone, but my W123 will reach historic status in a few months time and I would really like to save as much money as possible before that date.

But it looks like I won’t be able to do this (too much effort anyway) and I will either check visually or cycle.

Flip down number plates :D

Well, you can always 'map' the cameras the hard way......... :D
