How does one go about unbinding a topdon unit from the previous keepers details.

It may be that the previous owner needs to remove the device from their account online.
Or you could try contacting Topdon.

I asked ChatGPT, so this may not be accurate, however, I would agree with contacting Topdon if you can’t find any other option

I got sorted via topdon . Cheers

What unit did you buy and how are you getting on with it -- is it 2 way talking?

Bought a used 500 unit , just to rewind the rear handbrake ,when pads need doing . It's the entry level unit . But can be upgraded via subscription to cover all modules. The 600 upto 800 units are better tbh.

Hi @Abzynthe I've looked at those, but got confused by the subscription service on their website. I appreciate it gets a few years free updates but do you have to pay after that or can you still use it without the upgrades?
To upgrade my 500 , it's this , but can still use it without. Also updates are for life.

Yeah. As far as I was aware, I won’t have to pay anything else unless I want to. So when it runs out, I guess I wouldn’t be able to fully scan newer cars after then? Not sure really.
