220 CDi has been on a neighbours drive for a few days and the alarm is going off (due I think to power leak somewhere as brand new battery is totally flat)

How do I turn the alarm off?

Disconnecting battery of course has no effect

HELP before neighbours kill me!

Bring another battery to jump-start the car?

As far as I know the alarm sounder has built-in NiCd batteries so can't be stopped until the internal battery is discharged.

That's how it was on my previous car (not MB) and I think it's pretty standard setup.

Jump leads in the back of your loaner. They are in a plastic tub to the left of the jack, keep digging youll find em. The battery is new in that estate and would start a truck. Unfortunately its under the boot floor and may not be easy to get at.

Happen use the battery of Sue's car.

Nice green flag man started car so ok for moment. Thanks all

Turned out it's the seat controller causing the drain - £250 plus vat for the part alone! Gottta be done though as I can't sell the car without it being right!

There is a repair to do this rather than replace. Do a google search

You have a pm.
