As above, what is the differences between them?

As a Vito Long edition Start at around £23k +vat and the V class £41k

Sorry if the above question is silly but id like to know, the kids are growing out of the Quashqui +2, and i'm think of a traveliner this would also be benifical to my business but are they to crude to use as family transport?

My budget doesnt extend to the V class, so how much different are they?

The Vito Traveliner is a minibus ... same vehicle physically, but less plush trim and seating. You need to look carefully at the specs. and see what 'essentials' you'd want to add to a Traveliner by way of options. You could end up with a price similar to a V Class anyway. You can get all the details on the M-B website.

We use a previous shape Vito Dualiner (6 seats in 2 rows) as a family car, with the back section caged out for the dogs. With the optional 'comfort' seats and things like parktronic, cruise control, etc. it's absolutely fine. Fits into multi-stories etc. too. Ours is a V6 auto which helps the 'car like' experience, sadly that engine has been dropped from the range now :(

Be very careful when looking at a Vito Long or Extra Long……..I am assuming you need driver plus 6 minimum?………….I had one as a loan vehicle and the second row was a three seat bench which made getting to the rearmost set interesting. You would need a two plus one as the second row so as to be able to remove the single and leave it in the garage. The configuration for use would be a 2 (or 3), 2 and a 3.
EDIT: Unless there is the option to put the second row rear facing then there would be plenty of room in the door aperture:doh: And when searching, the Dualiner could be optioned with rear side windows effectively making it a Traveliner, kind of.

Are you looking at the new Vito because there are some cracking deals on the outgoing model?

It depends on the options fitted. Our second row is a double plus a single ... they both fold/flip/recline/lift out MPV-style (there are 2 separate backrests on the double). As there are 5 of us we normally just have the double one fitted (we have 3 seats in the front).

Being a Dualiner we don't have 3rd row seating but we do have storage behind the 2nd row seats, in front of the dog cages.

True. The options were/are varied on these. I have even seen a Dualiner with rear side windows that wasn't a Traveliner. :dk:

Edit: that two seat second row bench is a lump to move on your own though, folded or not!

Yes Giantvanman there doing some good deals atm, would need one which is at least a 7 seater, with a setup which allows easy access to the Rear seats also.

The wife is a little worried the vehicle will be abit large to park etc but i suppose she'd have to try one first. Also it seems hard work to get a brochure sent from MB, 1st dealer i contacted didnt seem interest ie, didnt get a reply back. :(

Orwell's (ipswich) said they had sent one but i never received it :(

Parktronic. Reversing camera:thumb: Another reassuring thing to do is to park your estate next to one. See, they are to same length (or only a couple of inches different) and it's no wider than the car. It's just taller…………..can you tell I have had this conversation with my wife?

I can email you a PDF brochure but it is available online as well as accessory & price list brochures.

My wife drives our Vito (which is a 'Long') regularly and has no problems at all. It does have Parktronic though, which I would say is a must for manoeuvring in car parks etc.

The single is bad enough! We rarely take the double out because it flips forward vertically if you need to fit something big in the centre of the van. But on the couple of occasions it's been out I've got someone to help me shift it. The 3-seat bench must be a nightmare!

Just go for a Viano as it has alloy seats that move easy and the seat rails make it easy to put the seat in any position you like.

I had a 2006 Vito Traveliner which I bought in 2008, sold it last year and bought a 2011 Viano. Both ex long wheel base, both had 2 rows of bench seats. Same configuration on the second row. (2 and 1).
The Vito is a Van with windows and seats and a van engine.
The Viano is a Van with windows and seats, and an e-class quality interior, and a car engine. (I was told the same as the s-class engine). Not sure if thats true or not, but if makes a hell of a difference.
It all comes down to cost and comfort. If money is not an issue, GET THE VIANO.

The Vito and Viano are mechanically identical so have exactly the same 4 and 6-cyl engines. The 3.0 V6 CDI is the same one used (in varying states of tune) throughout the MB range, from C Class to S Class.

The Viano's plusher interior trim almost certainly helps the refinement compared to the Vito though (better sound insulation).
