Hi all - Looking to buy my uncles immaculate 1993 K reg Merc 190e auto in silver, one owner, main dealer serviced, kept garaged and only 60,000 miles (servicing book confirms)

.. any thoughts on a fair price ??

Thanks

Nothing firm, but there was a very nice example on a '93 K 70k miles, on ebay recently went for only £620.
Normally it would be anything between that figure and about £1200 tops.

The '93 190E LE I recently bought for £1500 has 137k miles on the clock.

The last owner worked for a Merc Commercials dealer and he'd bought it off that firm.
He changed the oil every 3k miles, replaced (!) the alloys when they became corroded and had all of the regular services done on the dot.
The paintwork would pass for 3 years old rather than 14, the car has never been smoked in and everything works in that kind of W124/W201 way :D

I've owned 2 W202s - both facelift models - and they felt much more flimsy than this car.

I've also come across a 1 owner 70k miles 190D in VGC for £1k recently.

At this age of car (all 190Es will be 13 years old + ?) you surely have to pay on condition. I can't say I've seen an early C Class I would touch, but the late 190Es were a different world in terms of build quality.

Not answering your question exactly, but a personal point of view...
