Very nice CLK55

Should sell around 3-3.5k. If I was looking for another I'd buy it for the black paint.

'Private Plate'?

S80 WKD...... Soo Wicked? :fail

Hmmmm "stunning condition for her age and is quite probably one of the best examples of this model (in Obsidian black) that you're going to find."

Rust in at least 4 areas, he does not want to list the equipment because he types slowly, "air con needs a re-gas"., payment by cash only, no one allowed to drive it.......................

Is it me or do I smell farmyard confetti?

On the face of it, the car looks very nice; hard to find colour for a W208 '55 and a fastidious owner.

"Air-con needs a re-gas always smells of bull****, even when it's true, especially when you take into account the cost of doing so (£30?).

Needs a condenser and a re gas that should read.

And possibly pipes too if you were unlucky like me :)

For sure the car can have holes picked in it but the mentality of such an owner who is clearly obsessed with keeping it shiny has to be a positive thing?

There are/have been many out there cheaper and even more expensive in far worse condition?

It won't have been ragged within an inch of its life (at least by the current owner) and i think its a fair assumption it will have had money spent when needed. (Rather than many 55 owners who need their cash for their pot habit or twice yearly Ibiza trips)

Must admit I hadnt spotted rust ..

I'd pay 3k for that all day long. Nice car, it is 14 years old after all! Can't expect it to be perfect. I always take an advert with a pinch of salt, as I think we all have. (eg, air con needs a regas, usually means it's been regassed and still doesn't work...)
Wouldn't pay the 4250 he obviously wants though.

The only thing that might concern me is the facr he seems to have all the usual ebay lingo about bid to buy, no time wasters, cash only, right to end etc etc, but his feedback score is 0...?

He's on detailingworld, seems a nice guy.

Just got a pm from the seller, sold for 4k within 3 days of advertising.

It needed a B service, tyres, wheel refurb disks and pads and had rust on the arches and bottom of the doors.

I can't believe I sold mine that cheap now lol considering it needed half the above work (paint and tyres).

These cars really have pretty much 'bottomed out' price wise now in much the same way as C43s did a few years back etc.

Had mine around five years now, considering how few were sold new It's surprising to see the division condition wise between good and bad examples.

Five years ago some were a little more rusty than others, but now it seems as though many need their asking price spending again on top of the sale price in terms of repairs and bodywork etc!

Most well over 100k miles now too.

Still they're a lot of car for what were £60k+ new machines and mechanically very tough - no airmatic/ABC/SBC nonsense etc like the newer stuff.

Great value I'd say
